Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Glutide (the “Application”), developed by Serious Business Software LLC (“Serious Business,” “we,” “us”), handles your information. The short version: what you log stays on your iPhone, and the only thing that ever leaves it is a meal photo or description you explicitly ask Glutide to analyze.

The Short Version

  • Stays on your device: meals, doses, injection sites, side effects, weight, water and settings. Glutide has no account, and we never receive your log.
  • Sent only when you ask: the one photo or description you choose to analyze. It is used to answer that request and is not stored or used to train models.
  • Kept by our server: a random install identifier with your free-analysis count and, if you subscribe, your subscription record. It is not linked to your name.
  • Only if you send feedback: your message, an email address if you choose to give one, and the app and iOS versions.
  • Never: advertising, tracking, analytics SDKs or selling your data.

What Stays on Your Device

Everything you record in Glutide is stored only on your iPhone, in the Application’s private storage. This includes:

  • Meals and the nutrition values attached to them.
  • Medication doses, including brand, dose strength, injection site and time.
  • Side effects and their severity.
  • Weight and water entries.
  • Your targets, reminders and other settings.

Glutide has no account and no sign-in. It does not sync through iCloud or any other service. We cannot see, access or recover this data, and we never receive it. If you delete the Application, this data is deleted with it.

What We Do Not Collect

Glutide contains no analytics, no advertising, no advertising identifiers and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data.

Meal Analysis (Photo or Description)

When you choose to analyze a meal, and only then, Glutide sends that one item to our server:

  • A photo: the photo you took or picked, downscaled and sent as a JPEG.
  • A description: the text you wrote describing the meal.

Our server runs on Cloudflare Workers and analyzes the photo or text with an AI model hosted on Cloudflare Workers AI. The result (an estimate of the meal’s nutrition) is sent back to your iPhone and saved there with the rest of your log.

The photo or text is used only to answer that request. It is not stored after the answer is returned, it is not used to train any AI model, and it is not linked to your identity. Nothing else from your log, such as your doses, side effects or weight, is sent with it.

Searching the built-in USDA FoodData Central database happens entirely on your iPhone and never leaves the device.

Usage Limits

To keep the analysis service fair and to prevent abuse, each analysis request includes a random install identifier. It is generated on your iPhone, kept in your iPhone’s keychain (so it can survive deleting and reinstalling the Application), and is not tied to your name, Apple Account, email or any other information about you.

Against this identifier, our server keeps how many of your free analyses you have used and, if you subscribe to Glutide Pro, when your subscription period ends, so that the free allowance and your subscription work correctly. It also counts requests per day for each identifier and for the network each request came from. We never store your IP address: the network is recorded only as a one-way keyed hash, and these daily counts are deleted after two days.

Service Provider

Cloudflare, Inc. operates the infrastructure that runs our server and the AI model. Cloudflare processes the photo or text of an analysis request, the install identifier, the subscription record and the IP address on our behalf and only to provide that service. Permissions

  • Camera: used only to take a photo of a meal when you choose to.
  • Photos: Glutide uses the system photo picker, so it only ever sees the specific photo you choose. It has no access to the rest of your library.
  • Notifications: dose reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No push service or server is involved.

You can change any of these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Feedback

If you choose to send feedback from within the Application, we receive the message you write, an email address if you choose to provide one so we can reply, and the Application and iOS versions. Feedback is collected through HeardKit, a service operated by Serious Business. We use it only to read and respond to your feedback and to improve Glutide.

Purchases

Glutide Pro is purchased through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes the payment, and we never receive your name, payment card or other payment details. To confirm that a subscription is active, the Application sends our server Apple’s signed record of it (the product, its dates and Apple’s transaction identifiers), and Apple sends us notifications when a subscription renews, lapses or is refunded. None of this includes your name or payment details.

This Website

The glutide.app website uses Abner, a cookieless analytics service, to count page visits in aggregate. It does not use advertising trackers and it does not follow you across other sites. The website has no accounts and does not ask for personal information. If you email us at the address below, we use your email address only to reply.

Children’s Privacy

Glutide is a health tracker for adults taking prescription medication. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices and Rights

Because your log lives only on your iPhone, you are in full control of it. You can edit or delete individual entries in the Application at any time, and deleting the Application deletes all of it. We do not hold a copy of your log, so there is nothing of it for us to access, correct, export or delete. Analysis requests are not stored after they are answered. The only record we keep is the install identifier with its analysis count and subscription end date described above, and we will delete it on request.
